Walk up to a tree, then choose Gather.
Tap anywhere to walk there; Nib's pen arrow points to the next place to visit. Or drag anywhere to steer with a floating stick. Tap a bush, tree, rock or crystal to collect it. In Adventure, drag Aim and tap or hold Attack (or just tap a blob). Keyboard: WASD or arrows move, F / Space swings, G gathers, B builds, I opens Backpack.
Trees give wood, grey rocks give graphite, bushes give berries and blue clusters give crystals. Draw homes, gardens and rides with Build; Undo or Put away takes a creation back. Your food toy (a food weapon in Adventure) is its own drawing. In Adventure, ink blobs can smudge creations: gather by hand to rebuild your pencil, then redraw a ruin.
